Job Title: Engineering Planning Specialist

Contract: 12 months with possible extension or direct hire

Schedule: Onsite - 9x80 schedule (1st shift)

Compensation: $57-$60/hour (includes PTO and optional medical, dental, vision, 401k benefits)

Onboarding Requirements: Background check, Drug Screen, Employment Verification

Overview:

We are seeking an Engineering Planning Specialist to support multiple Engineering Program teams. In this role, you will assist the Program Engineering Manager (PEM) and various Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads in managing the cost, schedule, and performance of work directives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Project Planning Workbooks
  • Support Control Account Manager (CAM) duties for work directives
  • Participate in risk management activities
  • Maintain program schedules and develop project plans
  • Develop and review cost estimates
  • Monitor work and expenditures to ensure adherence to schedule and budget
  • Support program management reviews and lifecycle management activities
  • Prepare status reports and other program documentation
  • Develop and analyze program metrics, including staffing projections
  • Coordinate, proof, manage, and assemble program deliverables for customers and internal stakeholders Skills

    Required:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Resourceful and able to work independently
    • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred:
      • Proficiency in PM Compass for earned value management
      • Experience with MS Project, Access, and Visio
      • Familiarity with Excel Pivot Tables and PowerBI report manipulation
      • Technical knowledge of defense systems
      • Experience working with engineers Experience

        Required:
        • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
        • Basic project management/project controls experience (scheduling, risk, planning)
        • Experience with program financial reporting and analysis Preferred:
          • Experience reporting on Earned Value
          • Experience with risk and opportunity management Education

            Required:
            • Associate's Degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field Preferred:
              • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
