About The Unit3 Med Surg is a 25-bed unit which handles
Bariatric patients/surgeries, medical patients, and any other
surgical patients.About Wayne HospitalRecognized by the US News &
World Report as a high-performing facility in congestive heart
failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, kidney failure, and
maternal services. It has been serving the community since 1957 and
has a long-standing partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Wayne
County Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
to help handle a variety of health and communicable disease
concerns.Scope of workThe Charge Lead Nurse role is to provide
direct oversight and supervision of all on line unit processes.
This is inclusive of but not limited to staffing and scheduling
changes affecting current shift, patient care issues and concerns.
Appropriate allocation of resources responding to all codes, and
handling employee issues and concerns. In addition to ensuring
consistent flow of patients through the department. Functions
within the framework of policies and procedures of the hospital and
demonstrates growth/development.Qualifications
- Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduated from an
accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree BSN
- Required Bachelor's Degree For new hires or recent promotions
with ADN or Diploma, must complete BSN within 5 years of hire.
- 2 years of relevant experience recent nursing experience.

- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon
Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association
Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American
Red Cross Upon Hire required Or
- CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - Canadian
