A Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist II opportunity is available in West Bloomfield, MI, offering a dynamic role focused on advanced cardiac catheterization procedures and patient care within a leading healthcare environment. This contract position emphasizes technical expertise, clinical knowledge, and collaboration with the cardiology team to ensure optimal procedural outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Monitor diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and intervene per ACLS protocols during arrhythmias or cardiac arrest. Recognize and interpret ECG waveforms, cardiac pressures, and hemodynamic parameters, alerting physicians as necessary. Set up and manage equipment and supplies for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. Assist in orientation and training of Cath Lab staff and participate in special projects or committees. Demonstrate thorough understanding of cardiac pathologies, medications, and relevant lab values impacting cardiovascular functions. Utilize advanced imaging technologies including intravascular ultrasound and Doppler velocimetry to support physician procedures. Identify electrophysiologic testing indications, implantable devices, and support therapeutic ablation procedures. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology. Proficiency in ECG interpretation, ACLS certification, and experience managing lethal arrhythmias. Familiarity with cardiac catheterization techniques including PTCA, atherectomy, and thrombolytic therapy. Ability to operate and troubleshoot Cath Lab fluoroscopy systems and extraction devices. Excellent communication skills and ability to support staff training initiatives. Clinical experience demonstrating professionalism and adherence to medical ethics in Cath Lab environments.
