(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity involves
supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and
assisting surgeons directly to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The
role requires working closely with the surgical technologist and
registered nurse to gather and verify the necessary equipment and
supplies for each procedure. Assisting the surgeon throughout
operations includes exposure, hemostasis aid, closure, and other
technical functions tailored to specific surgeries. Key
Responsibilities: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of surgical
procedures, anatomy, physiology, and operative techniques pertinent
to assigned cases. Ensure all required instruments, supplies, and
equipment are available and functioning; confirm accurate charging
with nursing and surgical tech staff. Provide direct intraoperative
assistance: positioning, draping, retracting, suctioning, sponging,
tissue handling, cautery, stapling, and suturing as directed by the
physician. Support team members with patient transport,
positioning, and comprehensive care in the operating room. Desired
Experience & Qualifications: Proven skill and experience in
operating room techniques and surgical assistance. Ability to work
collaboratively within a surgical team environment. Strong
attention to detail and understanding of sterile field maintenance.
Familiarity with surgical instruments and terminology.
